Each year VFW Post 5262 partners with the Cherokee High School JROTC to raise money for veterans homes across the nation.  A portion of the proceeds are given to the JROTC program to pay for educational trips and special honors that the students earn in their program.  Additional funds from these events are used to help veterans in need and fund charitable causes within the community.  Absolutely none of the funds collected are used for administration and the proceeds go directly to the causes that need them as voted by the membership.
